Experimental Study on Flow and Continuous Use Intention of Virtual Reality

초록

This work investigates factors on the flow of VR experimentally. Compared with prior survey, this work measures the factors affecting the flow using the survey after the VR experiments. We analyze statistically the impact of vividness, interactivity, and flow tendency, gender, wearing glasses, and mobile game playing frequency upon the flow and eventually upon the continuous use intention. We find that vividness and interactivity increase the flow and on the contrary mobile game playing everyday decreases the flow; and the flow increases continuous use intention. We also find that the flow mediates the relationship between vividness & interactivity and continuous use intention. Prior survey proposed that vividness & flow tendency increase the flow, however our experimental results propose that vividness & interactivity increase the flow.
